Stain colors you see on a screen or small swatch are only approximations. They don’t always show how that stain will look once applied to a full concrete surface in real life. There are several real-world factors that affect the final appearance:

• Lighting conditions: Natural sunlight, shade, and the angle of light throughout the day can make the same color look lighter, darker, richer, or more muted.

• Texture of the concrete: Different textures reflect light differently and absorb stain differently — a rough broom finish will look different than a smooth trowel finish, even with the same stain.
